Arizona Softball recently announced the addition of two players from Louisiana-Lafayette who are expected to make an immediate impact in the upcoming 2018 season.
Senior Aleah Craighton is a 2017 All-American who is an outfielder. Junior Alyssa Denham is a right-handed pitcher who will round out the Wildcat pitching staff after the graduation of Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year Danielle O’Toole.
Craighton will fill several voids in the Arizona lineup. Alyssa Palomino should be starting in center field this year, but since her second ACL tear in May she likely will be filling the designated player role.
