STANFORD, Calif. – After one round of play at the 2018 Stanford Intercollegiate, No. 8 Sun Devil women's golf is currently in a tie for sixth in a closely contested race, just three strokes out of the top-three.
Individually, freshman Alexandra Försterling is the top Sun Devil, shooting a career-low 69 and in a tie for sixth. Försterling recorded five birdies on the day, two on the front nine and three on the back.
"Alexandra had a really good day," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "I am so pleased to see her break through with her first under par round in college golf.
