The Arizona State men's basketball team had prepped to play one of the top-ranked teams in the country, Baylor, but that game didn't happen because of the coach's diagnosis of the coronavirus. Now the Sun Devils are going to get a crack at the No. 3 team Thursday night.
Coach Bobby Hurley's ASU team will face Villanova at 7:30 p.m. in the title game of the Empire Classic at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Both teams had to survive in their respective games on Wednesday with ASU slipping past Rhode Island and Villanova getting by Boston College 76-67.
