ASU men's basketball stumbles again

LOS ANGELES — The Arizona State basketball team started the week in first place, with a chance to win its first Pac-12 title and looking like a good bet to have a first round bye in the Pac-12 tournament.

They ended it looking up as several teams and no longer in control of their own destiny. And maybe working their way back onto the NCAA bubble.

The Sun Devils dropped their second straight game in the city of Los Angeles, this time falling to USC 71-61 Saturday at the Galen Center. It comes 48 hours after being dealt a 75-72 setback by UCLA on Thursday at Pauley Pavilion.
