ASU football quarterback Jack Smith has entered the transfer portal, according to a report from 247Sports.
Smith is a fifth-year senior.
He first played for Arizona State in 2016 and was a wide receiver/athlete after starring as a quarterback at Phoenix Mountain Pointe High School.
ASU played all of its scholarship quarterbacks due to injury that season and even had to turn to Smith, who threw a 40-yard pass in a 37-32 loss to Washington State.
Smith left ASU after that season due to an injury of his own, but returned to the team healthy again in February.
