Just days after Jack Jones announced his plan to return to the Arizona State football program for a final season, the already talented defensive backfield got some more good news Wednesday morning. Safety Evan Fields, who was overall the Sun Devils’ best defensive player in 2020, announced on twitter that he is returning to Tempe in 2021 for a final season.
Fields is the second player to take advantage of the NCAA Division I Board of Director’s decision to allow players to take an extra year of eligibility due to irregularities caused by Covid-19.
