After a successful Territorial Cup weekend, the Arizona State men’s basketball team suffered a 57-44 loss to eighth-ranked Oregon, diminishing the team’s record to 19-10 (10-7) on the season.
Sabrina Ionescu led the Oregon scoring effort with 16 points, and Ruthy Hebard and Maite Cazorla followed closely behind with 14 a piece.
In spite of the fact the Ducks won by double-digits, it was a tight game in the first half. Arizona State actually led Oregon, 25-24, at halftime.
The second half was a different story.
Oregon took the lead for the first time since the first quarter when the Ducks started the third quarter on a 5-0 run.
