ASU basketball hopes ride on the health of Remy Martin, Rob Edwards

SAN FRANCISCO — Last season the Arizona State men's basketball team finished second in the Pac-12, its highest finish since 2010. While that, along with back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances for the first time in 30 years, were noteworthy, many look at the season as a missed opportunity.

There was no prohibitive favorite going in and the Sun Devils looked like they had the potential to win their first conference title, but key injuries to Remy Martin and Rob Edwards helped derail the Sun Devils hopes.

If ASU (23-11, 12-6) is to make a run against the top tier teams, it will need both Martin and Edwards to have stellar, injury-free seasons.
