Eduardo Escobar doesn't want any days off after 100th RBI for Diamondbacks in win

Eduardo Escobar almost bristled at the question. The season is approaching late August. He has played in all but three of the Diamondbacks' 127 games. But, no, he said, he isn’t tired of playing. He’s tired of not playing.

"When the season is done, that’s my vacation," Escobar said after the Diamondbacks' 8-7 win over the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night. "Right now, I need to be working. Every time (manager Torey Lovullo) gives me a day off, I go to him and say, 'Hey man, I want to play, I don’t like having days off. I'll take days off in November and December.
