In recent years, the Diamondbacks’ front office has been nothing but complimentary of the Los Angeles Dodgers when it comes to the way their division rivals have built a sustainable juggernaut in the National League West.
Dodgers General Manager Andrew Friedman returned the favor on Tuesday, praising the work Diamondbacks GM Mike Hazen and his group have done to position themselves as perhaps the team most likely to challenge in the division.
“We knew when those guys were hired that we were going to have our work cut out for us,” Friedman said, mentioning Hazen and Diamondbacks assistant GMs Jared Porter and Amiel Sawdaye.
