The Diamondbacks do not have answers, nor do they have solutions. One minute, their offense was rolling. Now, it can’t get started, and it has dragged their season to the brink of irrelevance.
In losing 3-1 to the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday afternoon, the Diamondbacks lost for the seventh time in their past eight games. In that time, they have gone from 1 1/2 games out of a wild-card spot to 5 1/2 back. With just 12 games left, they are all but finished.
Their offense has been the primary culprit.
