While many of his teammates are coming off disappointing years, Diamondbacks left fielder David Peralta did not have a bad 2020 season. He hit .300. He stayed healthy. He was fairly productive.
But Peralta does not sound content with the way he performed, nor does he seem to think it was indicative of the type of player he expects to be this season.
“I always want to prove myself,” he said. “I know I hit .300, but I know I can be better than that.”
The Diamondbacks would welcome additional production, though Peralta does not rank high on the club’s list of concerns.
