The Cardinals were scheduled to have a light walk-through practice and then assemble for meetings on Thursday at State Farm Stadium, but the team announced in the morning they were cancelling all team activities for the day.
The move was made to let all players and team staff have some personal time for reflection and conversations in the aftermath of the shooting of Jacob Blake by a Kenosha, Wisconsin police officer. Blake, a Black man, was shot seven times in the back at close range on Sunday by the white officer and is paralyzed. He remains in intensive care.
