We have officially gained more clarity regarding the situation surrounding Baker Mayfield, and all signs point to the 30-year-old quarterback starting on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals
Mayfield went down on the final play of the first half in the 34–7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football. The play in question was a Hail Mary attempt where Mayfield collapsed to the ground in pain. He was later seen on the sideline wearing a sling on that arm.
However, Mayfield, as well as head coach Todd Bowles, believes the team’s franchise quarterback is ready to go for Sunday, according to ESPN’s Jenna Laine.
