Rashaan Evans simply didn't want to take his pads off that Monday night.
Having just played his final game in an Alabama uniform, the senior linebacker refused to change in the locker room. So, in full uniform, he went back to the team hotel in his full gear to celebrate Alabama's national title.
They won't come back on for a while, either.
Evans was scratched from next week's Senior Bowl in Mobile after accepting an invitation. He explained the decision at Saturday's national championship celebration in Tuscaloosa.
"The whole reason for that, man, was really just for be focused on the Combine," Evans said.
