NCAA to lift recruiting dead period, according to report

The NCAA is expected to lift the current recruiting dead period June 1, according to CBS National college football writer, Dennis Dodd.

Prospects will be allowed to have in-person contact with coaches on and off-campus if the NCAA chooses to lift the dead period. The current recruiting dead period has been in place since March 2020 due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19.

Multiple Alabama football targets have predicted that the dead period would be lifted this summer and have made plans to visit the University of Alabama. One of those prospects is four-star offensive lineman, Tyler Booker who has an official visit date locked in.
