Due to the growing cases of the global coronavirus pandemic, leaders within the sport are faced with two options: cancel fall sports or try to have a shortened season. According to Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic and the tandem of Heather Dinich and March Schlabach at ESPN, multiple power five conferences are moving into the conference-only schedule model this fall.
