Christian Barmore posts via Twitter that he ‘will be ready’ for Alabama’s matchup with Missouri

He knows this season is a potential breakout year for him.

Christian Barmore, a redshirt sophomore, suffered a minor knee injury before Alabama’s second scrimmage. He is recovering well, but Nick Saban mentioned his status for the Crimson Tide’s season opener against Missouri is uncertain.

The 6-foot-5, 310-pound defensive lineman played very well in 2019 through 12 games.

Barmore proved to be the Tide’s best pass rusher and he energized fans at Bryant-Denny Stadium, to a tune of 26 tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks, five quarterback hurries and two pass breakups. He will return to practice on Monday and based on how he does, it will determine whether or not Saban decides to play him.
