The University of Alabama football team collected 576 yards offensively and 47 points in a victory over South Carolina on last week. While it starts Southeastern Conference play at 1-0, the league’s front office recognized two Crimson Tide players for weekly accolades.
Tua Tagovailoa (quarterback) and Landon Dickerson (offensive lineman) were named as SEC Players of the Week, following their performance against the Gamecocks.
For Tagovailoa, this is the second time the junior has been honored.
He put on a passing clinic versus South Carolina’s secondary, carving up Will Muschamp’s group for a career-high 444 yards and five touchdowns on 28 of 36 passes completed.
