Texas WR Jordan Whittington selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the No. 213 pick

With the Los Angeles Rams picking Texas Longhorns wide receiver Jordan Whittington in the sixth round with the No. 213 overall pick, head coach Steve Sarkisian’s program went 11-for-11 in having players invited the NFL Draft Combine hear their names called in the draft.

With the Rams taking Whittington, the 11 Longhorns selected are the most ever for Texas in six rounds of the draft. The seven offensive players selected are the most ever for the Longhorns through seven rounds of an NFL Draft. Along with Xavier Worthy, a first-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs, and Adonai Mitchell, a second-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts, Whittington is the third Texas wide receiver picked this year, the most-ever in a single draft for Texas since 1967, which marked the start of the common era of the NFL Draft.
