Women’s Pentathlon Performances Highlight Day 1 of Doug Raymond Invitational

KENT, Ohio – Sophomores Svenia DeConinck and Matilde Carboncini posted top-five all-time women's pentathlon scores as Kent State hosted the opening day of the Doug Raymond Invitational on Friday.

De Coninck totaled 3,864 points to move into third on the Golden Flashes' all-time performance list and finished second in the competition. She recorded new personal-bests in long jump (18'-4.50") and 800-meter run (2:25.77). Carboncini sits fifth in school history with a total of 3,797 points and PR'd in high jump (5'-5.75"), shot put (37'-0.25") and 800m (2:29.66).

Liam Vinskovich nearly punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships in the men's high jump but was unable to clear the bar at 7'-2.
