KENT- The Mid-American Conference has released Kent State's upcoming football opponents for the first cycle of the conference's new pod system.
The Conference announced a new scheduling model that does away with divisions and placed the schools into four, three-team pods. The Flashes will play Akron and Buffalo every season with a three-year rotation that guarantees the Flashes will face the other 10 teams at least once.
In the 2024 season, Kent State will host Akron, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, and Ohio in conference play with Saint Francis University (PA) coming to Dix Stadium in the non-conference season.
