CINCINNATI --- Fans will notice numerous changes to the seating and hospitality areas of Cintas Center when they return for the 2017-18 basketball season. The latest addition targets the nostalgic memories of Xavier University alumni for the popular Norwood Café, more commonly known as "The Woods." Located at the corner of Dana and Cleneay, it was demolished in 2008 to make room for construction of University Station, including the All for One Shop.
The centerpiece of the project will be the installation of the original bar that spanned the 35 feet of The Woods' main gathering space.
"Xavier bought the Norwood Café and all of its contents including a 100-year-old cherryback bar," said Xavier University Vice President John Kucia.
