Xavier women's basketball announced Tuesday the hire of former Northern Kentucky University men's basketball head coach Dave Bezold to the position of director of administration.
Bezold, who compiled a 194-133 record over 11 seasons with the Norse men's program, will oversee opponent scouting and non-conference scheduling as well as assist with practice planning, game strategy and gathering analytics, according to Xavier.
"I'm tremendously humbled to have the opportunity to work at such a prestigious and nationally recognized university, both academically and athletically," Bezold said in a press release.
Bezold's hire is the second of the offseason for head Xavier coach Brian Neal following the departure of Mark Ehlen and the May hire of former WNBA player Crystal Kelly as an assistant coach.
