The University of Wyoming's Damon Unland won the hammer throw at the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday in Logan, Utah.
The junior's winning throw of 197 feet, 8 inches came on his fifth throw, although he had three other throws that would have put him atop the leaderboard. Unland also finished fourth in the discus.
