LARAMIE -- The bad news for the Wyoming athletic department is that it's headed for a $1 million budget reduction, as laid out by athletic director Tom Burman's plan.
This month, Burman presented the UW Financial Crisis Advisory Committee with a plan to cut $1.2 million from the athletics budget, a figure set by the committee.
The committee then reduced that number, as it did with proposed cuts for other parts of the university.
"They were able to come up with some additional revenues that they can project for this coming fiscal year across the board, and they were able to find some additional savings that were administered across the board," Burman said.
