Melvin Gordon was the first running back off of the board in the annual ESPN NFL Nation Mock Draft, where ESPN’s NFL Nation writers simulate the draft, choosing players for the teams they cover.
Gordon was slated to go No. 17 overall to the San Diego Chargers by Eric D. Williams, San Diego’s NFL Nation writer.
