As NFL teams begin Organized Training Activities (OTA’s) and preseason training sessions officially kick off, one former Wisconsin Badgers player finds himself in a position battle following a missed season from an injury. Jared Abbrederis made his way back onto the field Thursday for the first time since tearing his ACL last summer, looking to compete for a Green Bay Packers roster spot in amongst a loaded group of wide receivers.
Abbrederis was selected by the Packers in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the 176th overall selection. He entered off-season workouts last summer projected to be the fifth wide receiver for the Packers, and figured to be involved in the return game, as well.
