This trade works well for both teams. For Arizona, because they have shown interest in Trouba, and they need a good right defenceman who can play now, and for a long time. It also lets them get rid of Tobias Rieder, who may not play with them again. They get to receive a quality bottom 6 winger in Alex Burmistrov.
For the Jets, they get a D prospect who they don’t have to protect in Chychrun, they get Duclair, who’s a left winger that they would play on the right and puts up good numbers for a young player.
