Laine, Matthews and Werenski finalists for Calder trophy

Winnipeg Jets right-winger Patrik Laine is one of three finalists for the NHL's Calder Trophy, awarded to the league's top rooke.

The 19-year-old finished the 2016-17 season second in scoring among NHL freshmen with 64 points and 36 goals. He will be joined by centre Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs and defenceman Zach Werenski of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the final trio.

The Calder Trophy winner will be unveiled during the NHL Awards Show from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on June 21.
