ST. LOUIS — Maybe it is too late. Maybe the snowball has already rolled too far down the hill for the Winnipeg Jets.
But the effort they served up in Tuesday’s 2-1 shootout victory over the St. Louis Blues in front of 18,323 at Scottrade Center is exactly the blueprint they need to follow — and should have been following — in order to remain relevant in the National Hockey League’s playoff discussion.
The result means the Jets won both games of their mini-Central Division jaunt that brought them from Colorado to Missouri and improves their record to 24-26-3.
