Wichita State volleyball routs Evansville to improve to 2-0 in Valley play

Wichita State ended the second set on an 18-1 run, emblematic of the ease with which the Shockers swept Evansville (25-15, 25-7, 25-12 ) on Monday at Koch Arena.

WSU (8-4, 2-0 Missouri Valley Conference) defeated the Aces (4-12, 0-3) for the 10th straight time — nine in sweeps — and 29th in the past 30 meetings. Setter Emily Hiebert recorded her 3,000th assist during the second set and is No. 7 on WSU’s career list. She finished with 31 assists and has 3,013 for her career.

WSU’s front-row dominated, blocking away most attack avenues and hitting over the smaller Aces.
