Tulsa, Okla. – The Wichita State women's golf team sit in 5th position after the opening two rounds of the Bob Hurley ORU Shootout led by solid performances from last year's standout stars Gavrilla Arya and Taryn Torgerson.
The Shockers finished the day 53-over par on the tough Meadowbrook Country Club course after shooting 313 in the first round. The women then upped their game slightly carding 308 in the second round for a team total of 621.
Last season's Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year, Gavrilla Arya, led the Shockers tying for 12th individually after shooting 9-over par through the first two rounds.
