SILVER LAKE, Ohio - The Western Michigan golf team had its strongest round of the weekend, propelling the squad to a third place finish at the 2017 Mid-American Conference Championships at Silver Lake Country Club on Sunday.

The Broncos combined to shoot a 303 in the final round for a total of 922 (+58) on the weekend for their highest finish at a MAC Championship since 2009 when they also finished third. Kent State took the MAC Championship with an 875 (+11) and was followed by Northern Illinois at 909 (+45).
