The predicament of whether or not the Golden State Warriors would be able to keep their core players is put to rest with the re-signing of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Curry is now the second highest paid player in NBA history coming in at $201 million over the course of five years, just behind James Harden’s new mammoth extension. And, in order to give Steph that deal, Kevin Durant took a pay cut of $7 million for next season on a two-year deal worth $53 million. It also helped to solidify the re-signing of other talented assets.
Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston, who entered free agency following the 2016-2017 season, have recently re-signed with the Warriors.
