Western Michigan quarterback Tom Flacco to transfer from program

KALAMAZOO, MI - The Western Michigan University football team will have one less option in its search to replace record-setting quarterback Zach Terrell.

After playing in 13 games over his first two seasons, quarterback Tom Flacco requested to leave the program, and the Broncos granted that request, said WMU associate athletic director Rob Beuerlein.

The release came without restrictions, and the Voorhees, N.J. native will be able to transfer to the school of his choice.

Flacco completed 10 of 13 passes during his two years as a Bronco, tallying 188 yards and a touchdown, but he attempted just one pass in 2016 during Terrell's senior season, in which he broke the WMU career passing record.
