AVON, Ohio – On a rainy night at Sprenger Stadium, the Western Michigan baseball fell 16-5 in its second game of the Mid-American Conference (MAC), setting up an elimination game against Eastern Michigan on Friday, May 26 at 1 p.m.

"Twenty walks issued (between both teams) speaks a bit to the rainy conditions," head coach Billy Gernon said. "Unfortunately we doubled their total and they were able to capitalize on the free bases our our staff issued. We can hit with anyone, but it's tough when you don't give your offense a chance.
