CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference Council of Presidents, on the recommendation of the Medical Advisory Panel, today voted unanimously to resume the fall football season. A six-game Conference only schedule will begin on Wednesday, November 4, and the season will conclude on December 18 or 19 with the MAC Football Championship game. A full schedule will be released at a later date.
"We are very excited for our football student-athletes to be able to announce that we will be playing fall football again," said WMU Athletic Director Kathy Beauregard. "Thank you to the MAC, which has worked meticulously with their medical advisors for over a week to find the proper protocol to prioritize the health and safety of our players and our campus as we return to competition.
