The Western Kentucky senior stars for the Hilltopper track and field team in both sprinting and jumping events – just like coach Erik Jenkins did at WKU from 1995-99.
Sears one day wants to follow Jenkins’ example and go into the college coaching world. But he has some unfinished business to take care of first.
Sears is one of 10 individual Hilltopper and Lady Topper athletes who’ll compete this weekend in the NCAA East Preliminaries. The meet, hosted by Kentucky at its track and field complex in Lexington, will help determine qualifiers for next month’s NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore.
