GERMANTOWN, Tenn. – WKU’s Mary Joiner shot the second-best score in the field in the final round Tuesday, as the freshman surged up the leaderboard at the Memphis Women’s Intercollegiate.
Joiner carded an even-par 71 – tying the best score of her young career – in the final round at Ridgeway Country Club and tied for 12th in the individual field with a three-round total of 229 (82-76-71). She started the day tied for 41st.
It was the second top-15 finish of the year for Joiner, who significantly improved her play in each round at Memphis.
