Rick Stansbury’s made it clear since he’s taken the Western Kentucky job. The coach wants to sell out E.A. Diddle Arena.
“I said this when I left the press conference a year and two months ago. There’s going to come a time real soon when there aren’t any tickets for sale,” Stansbury said Tuesday during a news conference at E.A. Diddle Arena.
Basketball tickets haven’t exactly been tough to come by in recent years at WKU. Average attendance for the Toppers in 2016-17 was 3,915 fans per game – 53 percent of Diddle Arena’s 7,326-seat capacity.
That was still an improvement from attendance under former coach Ray Harper in 2015-16.
