Western Kentucky landed its first commit from the state of Alabama and its 18th overall pledge for the Class of 2018 on Saturday.
WKU received a verbal commitment from Goshen (Ala.) High School senior Devin Bell, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound defensive end rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.
Bell is the first defensive end commit to the Hilltoppers' 2018 recruiting class.
