WVU Rallies Again but Edged in Extras

OKLAHOMA CITY – For the second consecutive day, the West Virginia University baseball team rallied to tie the game in the ninth inning, but lost in the 10th inning to Oklahoma State, 4-3 in the semifinals at the 2017 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship in Oklahoma City.

After trailing 6-4 in the ninth inning yesterday and coming back to win it in the 10th, the Mountaineers (34-24) trailed 3-2 in the ninth when sophomore shortstop Jimmy Galusky singled through the right side the score freshman pinch-runner Riley Troutt. However, the Cowboys (29-25) scored a run in the 10th inning to win it.
