West Virginia comes back to upset Texas Tech 12-7 in extras

With their backs up against the wall, West Virginia came back to defeat No. 3 Texas Tech 12-7 in 10 innings.

The Mountaineers (34-23) were down 6-3 in the eighth inning and needed a boost in order to stave off elimination.

The initial boost was Isaiah Kearns.

Wednesday’s hero from the mound took the plate and hit his second home run of the season to trim the deficit to two runs.
