Trio Earns Top University Senior Honors

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Amy Cashin of the West Virginia University track and field and cross country teams has been honored with the 2017 Order of Augusta award, announced by the University, today.

WVU’s most prestigious student honor, the Order of Augusta was given to eight students with a variety of different backgrounds. This honor recognizes the students’ superior scholarship, demonstrated leadership and record of community and public service. The award is named for its historical significance in the state. Augusta was among the original names considered by the Legislature when the state seceded from Virginia in 1863.
