West Virginia is ranked number 8 in the Coaches Poll. The Mountaineers are tied with Creighton (17-1,4-1) for 7th in the AP with 1,185 votes each.
West Virginia will take on Oklahoma on Wednesday before traveling to Manhattan to play Kansas State on Saturday. Oklahoma, reeling from the loss of sensational senior Buddy Hield to the NBA Draft, has not been able to generate the same buzz as last year.
