West Virginia University issued a brief statement on Monday afternoon stating that Jevon Carter has submitted his name for the NBA Draft.

Carter has not hired an agent, therefore he has not forfeited his eligibility for the Mountaineers’ 2017-18 season.

“Jevon will go through the process in a systematic and professional manner by exploring the situation and leaving open his option for his senior season,” Bob Huggins said in the statement.

Carter was one of the most consistent players of the year for West Virginia, averaging 13.5 points per game and 5 rebounds per game.

He will have until June 12 to formally declare.
