Bryan’s Win Highlights Day One at Raleigh Relays

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. Sophomore Danique Bryan, of the West Virginia University track and field team, won the women’s long jump title on Friday, to open the first day of competition at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina.

In addition to Bryan’s victory, West Virginia collected three top-nine finishes – two in field events and one in running.

“We had a nice day at the track today,” said coach Sean Cleary. “Danique handled a high quality field in winning the long jump. She still has a few things to work on before we see her ultimate jump but a very nice win nonetheless.
