MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field distance medley relay team took first place at the 120th edition of the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania .
“The DMR was a positive moment for the girls. It’s always fun to win a race and for that we are pleased,” said coach Sean Cleary. “While we ran well on the DMR, I believe we still have a lot more to offer.”
The lone WVU competitor Friday was freshman Shamoya McNeil. McNeil placed sixth overall in the triple jump with a leap of 12.38 meters.
