West Ham will consider a move for Wayne Rooney in the summer if he decides to leave Manchester United.
The England striker has been largely sidelined by Jose Mourinho since he took over as United manager in the summer.
His career is on the wane, no longer the full-time captain of the national team and with only five goals to his name this season.
The 31-year-old also missed an important team meeting led by England manager Gareth Southgate where he laid out his vision for the future.
